Cotton

Cotton is a vegetable textile fiber that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, a shrub of the genus Gossypium , it belongs to the Malvaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions, there are different native species in America, Africa or India. The word cotton derives from the Arabic قُطْن( al ) qutn .

The most common vegetable fiber and
the oldest after linen and wool. The quality of the fiber depends on its length: a long fiber generates a bright, strong and high-quality cotton. Its characteristics make it an ideal material for fine and light summer fabrics, but at the same time it is a perfect fiber for heavier fabrics and suitable for all seasons and the most used in the home.

Main characteristics: high hygroscopicity, non-irritating to the skin, non-allergenic. Cotton fabrics are easily
washable and can be ironed at high temperatures.

Polyester

It is a diverse fabric that can be composed of natural, synthetic fibers or a combination of fibers. It has high wear resistance and low flammability. Polyester fabrics are easy to care for, machine washable and wrinkle resistant.
